I have put up two PS2 servers on the LA server (for now).  If you are a PS2 player new to the website, please register and say hi!

If you want any mods installed for the servers, just let me know.  I suspect that we can have most of the server side mods that work for the PC.

Let us know what you think

Don't believe everything you read on the internet

Do you know how many people play on PS2 SWBF compared to PC?
=AaTc= Forever

I'd say anywhere from 30 to 100 for North America.
Basicly a handfull at best.

If there are enough PC players to form clans, there are tons more PC players.

Is that in in total? When you say North America does that mean that the PS2 version is region locked?
I play less now but I'll always be around, lets keep this site and battlefront going. :)

I'm guessing on the numbers.
At any given time you might find 0 - 3 folks online, then blooms of 30 or more. (Game night's I guess ;) )

I noticed on the server front end that it has region option.

I am assuming that detemines what master server it shows up on.

Thanks. I played on PS2 for about 5 years but I never tried online so I didn't really know :)

You have to have the patch already installed to your memory card.  From what I hear, the patch is no longer available and can not be transferred from one PS2 to another...

Even getting it via torrent, how do you get the patch on a ps2 memory card, then get the game to use it?
Answer that and you will be a PS2 Hero :)

If you can get the patch on your PC, there is a way to download it to your PS2 by setting up a local DNS server. The name of the file that makes up the patch is:

SLUS_208.98.zdb

If anyone can get this file, let me know.

Sony also restricts Americans from joining Euro servers and vice-versa.....I think.  I know that is the case for BF2.

But in the case of BF2 their is a mod That allows a PC dedicated servers to switch regions.

I unfortunately lack the patch on my memory card and if their is a work around I'm interested as well
