SWBF1 Modding / Problem with arc trooper texture.
January 21, 2020, 01:57:46 PM
Hi everyone,

I found these DEVISS assets, which I am glad for those files, and I have a small problem with the texture of the arc soldier since I can't see the "skirt", I can only display from the screen the "kama".

There is a file inside the folder that is meant for the layer, but I'm afraid I don't know what to do with that .odf.

This is the direct link to the file: (http://www.swbfgamers.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=1376).
Link to the thread: (http://www.swbfgamers.com/index.php?topic=10120.0).

Thank you, may the force be with you.

Hello there;

First at all, thank you for your time, also I am sorry for my english.

Secondly:

-OverrideTexture: Trying to combine arc pack with the jet pack:

The only thing I was able to make, it is for the unit to fly wihtout the jetpack, since the game crashed while I tried to add the jetpack to the current .msh file...

Thank you, Franer.

Hello there;

First at all, thank you for your time, also I am sorry for my english.

Secondly, I found myself with tow problems while modifying the republic units:

-Model: 1st_inf_arms:

As far as I now, I can find the tga texture on the MSH folder. I currently changed one of the files but in-game I am unable to see the new design, however I still able to see the older model that is no longer in the MSH folder.

I tried to create a new .msh file, witch is a copy of the arc trooper .msh, with the current modification inside the file (changing name of the rep_1st_inf_arc_trooper_arms.tga to the new one). Also I added a req file inside the REQ/FPM/<current side> folder.

In conclusion I ended with invisible hands...

Thank you, Franer.

Hello there;

First at all, I follow this new beginers guide:
http://www.swbfgamers.com/index.php?topic=8.0
However, while following the steps, specially the readme steps from the download folder; I found myshelf with a critical error while munging the prototype. Error:
soundflmunge.exe : Warning : No files in file list Cde  - while munging C:\LucasArts\BFBuilder\DataCde\Sound\worlds\Cde\Cde.asfx
It appears that file is currently on the folder; so I dont know how to fix it and keep working on modding or at least start modding.

I will be glaz for any type of info or help, if there is something you need to know, I also will be glaz to answer.

Additional info:
-I have Win10 system.
-the mod is currently on the folder C:\LucasArts\BFBuilder.
-I tried to munge it with 64bitMunge.bat.
-One on the followed steps, indicates to have the game on the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\LucasArts; since my game folder do not contain GameData, but Data; I duplicate this folder and renamed with GameData and add SPTEST.exe to both folders just in case.

Thank you, Franer.

SWBF2 Modding / Missing files from data/common
December 28, 2019, 05:32:47 AM
Hello there,

First things first, I am developing a mod that involve the republic faction, changing the skins and modifing the unit's parameters.

Iwas able to compile a prototipe of this mod, with the fix for visualmunge that i found here, change the rep file from the side folder and run the game, but it crased while i star launching the match (i have no problems with the menu or lobby).

Since I keep making changes on the files, I noticed that I dont have the common file "com_jedi_default", that i was looking to know how to implement health regen.

So I hope any of you could help me with this matter, thank you very much.
Franer.
