I was about to ask Cristian for the new DNAS on my fb group. He speaks English but not fluently so I was about to  write something and have one of my members translate it in Spanish. I'll try the swbfgamers DNS this week and will also ask Cristian if it's the same later this week or next week. Pretty busy these last days. I'll have more time in May.

New Cristian dns = 186.35.115.74

Led and me tried it as DNAS assuming it's US and it's not working. Led think it's a DNS number and not a DNAS and I think too after testing it as I used it as DNS and got through DNAS authentification but the server list is empty so seems this DNS doesn't allow swbf so we're in the hunt to find the owner of this DNS so we can get the DNAS address ^^

Captainzp posted this DNAS on Gametracker, let me know if it's working: 67.249.158.107

Led, I'm gonna try to get you that info as soon as I find it. I think they DNAS numbers changed without me realizing and Christian is now hosting them.

JackDaniel if you can ask Christian for me what the new DNAS numbers are that would be really helpful. These aren't the numbers we use in our PS2s, they are something different. They should look like this:
gate1.jp.dnas.playstation.org 149.56.101.45
gate1.eu.dnas.playstation.org 167.114.40.4
gate1.us.dnas.playstation.org 167.114.40.5
^Those are the old ones, we need to know the new ones to make sure SWBFspy (74.91.125.138) is working.
Cristian is still not home yet and he doesn't know when he'll be back so no ETA for now.

Well, one of my swbf2 members talked with Cristian and said it will be down for another 3-4 days.

Hey Anthony, missed you buddy, getting missions into multiplayer is great but hard to get it to work but you made some awesome mods on bf2 and if you can make some cool one in bf1 than cool. I bought bf1 a month ago and been playing it since. And Snake and Phobos got some cool mods so you 3 work together ^^
Pyro, also bringing his swbf2 glitching server up next month. Is he on this forum too?

It may be worth noting that using a custom mission.lvl can crash the game or present that reboot bug. This is because the default unit counts are not the same as the unit counts in the mission lua files included with mod tools. This is one of those things that must match on the host+client side in order for everything to work properly.

The thing that controls this is the SetUnitCount() function. In PC this may be around 30 or 32. In the default PS2 mission.lvl the values were naturally lowered to match the hard coded unit limit of 16 (or close to 16).

It's up to you to use a default mission.lvl or take the time to guess the right values to use for SetUnitCount if you want to use a custom mission.lvl

OK, I have put up a PS2 server.  Let me know if anyone sees it and if anyone has any troubles with it.  (SWBFgamers.com-PS2)
I was in it yesterday and it worked fine  :tu:

Phobos said it, let merge all the pm in one topic named swbf ps2.
#27
Phobos, you send me pm but I can't reply to you as you blocked me. It was right after I said we preferred the original respawn with random numbers. If I offended you, I'm sorry, that was not my intention. I sent you the new Cristian's DNS via Snake but not sure if you got it.

In this case all the hacker's proxy IPs would get banned.
I'll add this soon to the server
The PS2 crash had unusual ports such as 49242-49246 & 56892 being used to spam \basic\\info\ packets which crashed the server. It sounds like Sandman would not intentionally crash the server, so I'm wondering what could be causing this.
status\\0000 UDP spam packet attacks were used against TWD server from a German IP address. This didn't cause the server to crash so it may not be malicious, although it continued for about 3 hours nonstop.
The attacks appear to be somewhat different from each source, I'm not yet convinced they are all unintentional. Until more information is known about the cause of this issue, I'm keeping most of the current bans in place. If you can replicate something on the Alpha server with Wireshark we might find out more of what's causing it.

what is the update?

Yes we play on ps2 and I'm not aware if there is still a community on PC. But we played tonight 7 maps on our server and no crashes.

Is the dns address that we use are Christian's dns from Germany, so it's normal?
