Having recommended Michaeluj have a look at the old Filefront on the Wayback Machine, I had a look out of curiosity; and I really forgot how big that place was.


The frequent polls were something I had really forgotten about, and the proto-reddit comment sections on everything were always a fun mess.

You can navigate through different dates of course, its quite amusing.


Oh, not many years ago before I joined SWBFGamers I stepped on that website! It's a pity it closed, I remember that there were a lot of SWBF resources, but I'm glad to know that it remains equal as it was in the Internet Archive.

Yes, it's beautiful!

The version of it that survived (GameFront) technically still has most of this stuff, but all of the community contributions like polls and news were relegated to the bottom of the page . . . and there's a lot of content you have to scroll past to find it, so it can be forgiven to assume that all of that stuff was deleted.

Aye, it's a bit of that old clunky website aesthetic I like.

Huh I didn't realise how much Gamefront saved, very nifty.
