Title: SWBFgamers.com YouTube channel
Post by: Led on September 07, 2014, 08:18:30 AM
I have made a youtube channel for SWBFgamers.com
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVGNqxX2CNlIBtMaOb7cklA

There have been other incarnations.  But I will ask this be our official channel.

I made a bandicam video and uploaded it, but it looks like garbage.  I think I need to have better upload settings or something.

Feel free to give me advice :)

What format did you upload in? Youtube likes mp4, I tried in some other format and it destroyed the quality.

My last vid which was a gameplay was a .wmv file and i could also upload it...
If i had converted it to mp4 it would have lost quality, that's why i uploaded it like that, even final filesize was ~500Mb which took 4 mins to upload and 1 to process

Wmv must be a format YouTube "likes". There should be a way to export a video project to mp4 without losing quality though ( instead of converting from another format)

Hey folks, if anyone feels inclined the channel needs... channel art.
Now I'll probably try and make something, but since we're a community I think it would be nice if others had a go.

The dimensions are 2560x1440 with a maximum file size of 2MB.

So... an original image to do with SWBF. Maybe a great big scenic screenshot or something.

mp4 is the best uploading format in YouTube.

So what are we going to do with this new channel?

You are a member of the video makers group--the goal is to produce (new SWBF) videos that can be monetized on YouTube.  So, we are just getting things set up and will practice with the old SWBF.

The goal of the monetization would be to help support our servers, should we get enough views, etc.  And if it amounts to nothing, then, oh well  ;)

The second video is much better--the source is a full sized window, again using BandiCam.  (I have purchased a 2-license pack).

Let me know what you think

Much better, but a bit too quiet.
