Ive been looking through here and I haven't been able to find how one might be able to make custom weapon icons that share a style to battlefront 1's blue holocron looking ones. This is in regards to a battlefront 2 project ive been working on, would anyone have any idea how to get that style?

Top right icons are the style im attmepting to replicate.

Wait, so do you mean making new icons like the blue holographic effect… or modifying the existing SWBF2 HUD to look more like the SWBF HUD…?

Apologies for the shocking sentence structure, alas I am ill.

just the blue blaster rifle outlined icon. My best guess would be to take a snap shot in model viewer, delete the bluebackgroud and out line the weapon, then scale to icon size proportions. :p I wanted to see if there would be a better way to do that for BF1/BF2 use.

Oh you mean the actual process of making the targa...

So, you'd use the screenshot as you said, and then you'd manually fill in the centre with the generic paint brush tool.
Nextly, you'd add a thin line around the shape and add a few minimal detailings.

It involves a steady hand and basic image editing skills.

The BF1 weapon icons would go great with the v1.3 HUD
"I would explain it to you but your head might explode."

Okay, so I made a visual example of the process because I had a spare 4 minutes.
