I saw this on the BF1 discussions for Steam and was wondering if anyone knew how to fix his issue. Thanks in advance  :tu:

That's his recent shtick (mass downvoting your videos as well), but I found a way of nipping that in the bud on my channel.

I guess he doesn't realize that upvotes and downvotes count as interaction and will help a video out either way (for recommendations and things of that nature)

He tried posting comments on my YouTube videos as well to insult me. Luckily I have my channel setup in such a way where I have to approve of comments before they are displayed.

If you mean ticks per second then most people use 30 or 40 tps

smh he just won't give it up, will he? And distributing an executeable with a known hack on Steam has got to be about the stupidest thing to do.

The thing is that even if we report his guide for distributing cheats, it's somewhat unlikely the moderators of Steam will download and set up the files he provided to verify if he is indeed giving cheats away or not. I am holding out hope that if enough people report him for it that the moderators will take it down anyways.

Edit: Of course it's also entirely possible I am misunderstanding what he's saying and he is in fact not distributing anything nefarious.

Ive told everyone to downvote it and report it. Anthony should really make his guide on the guides list to avoid that dude from screwing up a good thing like hes tryna do now

He already did by getting me to write it and it has been getting over 10x the amount of attention lol

Please make sure you use AnthonyBF2s guide. There is a certain abusive former member who is passing off his walled garden as the only way to play and flat out copied his tutorial.

I am pretty sure he included an extended radar mod in the files he provided. I will confirm first but if true, then we will be able to report the guide he made for distributing cheats.

Incredible, but it surprises me little. At last Disney has discovered SWBF (2004) and I can already assume that they'll take advantage of this with the Steam/GOG versions. In my opinion, good news to encourage Star Wars fans also to play the very first game.

Yeah, I think it's great that the people who previously never played the game will now have a good platform to pick it up and try it on.

Having said that, I suppose there will be included multiplayer support in the same version of Steam, I hope so. I don't think SWBFSpy is a viable alternative, you only need to check the number of players which have moved to the Steam/GOG servers in SWBF2 as proof of that. This is bad news for those who keep the original DVD version of the game (like me).

While I myself still hold out hope that they will indeed eventually restore official multiplayer to the game, I don't think it's as necessary as you believe. You see, the SWBF2 SWBFSpy servers are only as lowly populated as they are because of the already existing official servers for that game. Before it got restored, SWBF2Spy was actually fairly active and was only second to GameRanger in terms of player count, or at least that's what I perceived at the time.

Finally, I hope there's language support. It is surprising how little they insist on implementing the rest of the languages having source files of the locolizations of SWBF1. Same for SWBF2.

If what GOG did to SWBF2 when they brought back multiplayer for that game has taught us anything, it's that movie files are massive, as shown by the 3-4 GB worth of files they ended up adding just from the multi-language movie files that they added. I for one would be strongly opposed to seeing anything like that added to SWBF1 because of that.

I was able to play the steam version with my native resolution which is 1440p but after applying the patch, it only goes to 1080p in the options. How can I get my res back to 1440p?

You might be able to force the game to use that resolution using launch options, but it will likely be very stretched in-game.

What the user above said. I hope they are just testing the waters to see how it does before committing to restore online multiplayer. Either way, it might result in a significant increase in players on the swbfspy servers, assuming someone can get that working with this new Steam version.

Edit: I would recommend you guys posting links to this website on the community area for the game so that people are aware this place exists at all. Doing so might also send a message to Disney/GOG that online multiplayer is in demand.

That file has caused confusion and problems for people in the past. I thought it would be a good idea to label it in the folder or something.

It should be noted that the 'ingame.lvl' file is not necessary for the conversion, and that it changes your field of view upon use.

Do you not crash in any other modes? How about in instant action single player maps?

There are several missing maps and you could probably get Anthony to do that for you if you asked in the GT PSP mod forum
