The part of the single player we saw at the end of the trailer confirms some of the previous theories, that the emperors final orders were kept inside of a body with his face on. (As seen in the trailer)
The years just fly past, don't they?

If you're interested in this check out Marvel's Shattered Empire which had the first appearance of the Messenger Droids and a set of orders that the comic follows.

Did anybody notice the E-5S is returning as the Droid Specialist's weapon? Glad to see a Classic Battlefront weapon reintroduced!
In Progress:
--Star Wars: Battlefront - Anniversary Edition (formerly Star Wars: Battlefront - Legacy Edition)

On Hold:
--Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron For SWBF1
--Endor: Imperial Base

Nifty!

The game play seems to be pretty good. I'm not sure how I feel about the heroes thing. Map looks great, but I'm worried graphical requirements will be too high for me.

Oh yeah. Love the reference to the old games there.

This game looks a lot more interesting than the first Battlefront reboot, but of course I have to chime in that it is dissapointing to see no droidekas in this game  :'(

Otherwise, it looks like EA realizes they need to make some changes to things like Paid DLC to change community opinion about them. Maybe this game will be worthwhile

Edit: I thought the siege mode shown for the tanks was a pretty interesting concept. Also the two stage objective makes it look like games will be varied between a more open area with ships/tanks in the first part, and then more close quarters fighting in the second.
Raoul Duke: feels redneck
Raoul Duke: have to bring the family tree when looking for women

Lilly Satou: also oh my god
Lilly Satou: fried chicken in the lingo is the best thing ever

About the droideka thing, the devs said that they don't know what the future will hold but later on in the seasons they could add droidekas.

I don't know about you guys but we need the HailFire...
Generic Sig goes here

Given that there were naboo star fighters it appears there may be a few map specific vehicles.

I'm glad they're at least considering it, in the original SWBF1/SWBF2 Droidekas were extremely weak so it may take a lot of tweaks to make them viable. They're really not a traditional FPS unit so they are kind of in the Bastion area of balance: either OP or terrible.

Don't believe everything you read on the internet

Thanks Led. You can probably find me playing SWBF2 a bit now

Potential maps I could gather from the reveal and game play trailers

Tantive IV* (?) (gcw)
Kamino* (cw)
Kashyyyk* (cw)
Hoth* (gcw)
Starkiller Base (for)
Tatooine* (gcw, cw also possible but probably not likely)
An asteroid field (gcw)
Takodana (for AND gcw)
Endor* (gcw)
Sullust (?) (gcw)
Jakku (gcw) (I'm like 90% sure of this)
Scarif (gcw)
Naboo* (cw)

*denotes planet appearing in at least one of the original swbf games

There were a few I couldn't identify, but this seems like a big improvement.
