Title: Hosting With Tunngle
Post by: Led on November 10, 2012, 04:55:23 AM
Here is a guide to hosting SWBF with Tunngle.

First, get tunngle on your server computer:
http://www.tunngle.net/index.php?l=en&pg=downloads

Note:  you must have administrative rights to run tunngle

Go through the set up procedure and restart your server computer.

Start tunngle.  Click on the yellow bar near the top to register and create and account.  You will need a valid email address to register.

Suggestion:  when you create a user name for hosting only, I suggest you use "Server" in the username.  For example, mine is PLA-Chicago-Server.   This way, people can tell a server host is up and also where it is hosted from.  Complete the registration process and agreement.

Check your email and then activate your account.

Log into your account near the bottom of the tunngle window.

In the network search box, type in battlefront and press enter.

Click on "Starwars Battlefront" to enter the SWBF "room".

Start your server.

If using the GUI, be sure to check the LAN box.

If using a batch file, include the switch /lan  e.g.

battlefront.exe /win /norender /noteamdamage /autonet dedicated /resolution 320 240 /nosound /noaim /tps 30 /lan /gamename {PLA}-CloudCity-Fastspawn /playerlimit 32 /playercount 1 /bots 2 /difficulty 2 /throttle 3072 /spawn 5 bes2r 450 450 bes2a 450 450

Note:  after tunngle is running on the admin account, you can use other accounts to start LAN SWBF

That's it.  Good luck.

Long Live SWBF!
