If you have newer version of windows your hover vehicles might be acting funny, such as doing barrel rolls when you want to strafe. Its an easy fix. Locate your battlefront.exe (usually in C:\Program Files (x86)\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront\GameData), right click, go to properties, and change compatability mode to xp sp3.

I'll try this later when I finish work. If it does work then you've just solved one of my most annoying problems.
I play less now but I'll always be around, lets keep this site and battlefront going. :)

Still can't find a solution to this. It's a very peculiar bug.

I've been troubleshooting this a bit more, and I discovered that this happens in a completely vanilla game. -

I then decided to try the vanilla game WITH the vanilla battlefront.exe, which requires the disc.
I put the disc in and loaded it up, and the same weird physics bugs kept happening-

I still have no idea how to prevent this strange bug. I've tried all compatibility modes as mentioned by MileHighGuy, but no luck. Maybe it has something to do with 64 bit machines? Who knows.

To fix it, you need to increase Anti Aliasing till x8 in option menu. Also in some video cards may be Smooth Adjusting option which also could help.
Beauty is, the way to perfection.

Just tried it, and no effect.

EDIT: I found a fix! Turns out if your monitor's refresh rate is too high, it can mess with the physics engine on certain games. I noticed this in the past with Skyrim, and the thought just occurred to me that I set my monitor to 144hz a few days ago, so I switched it back to 60hz and no flipping vehicals!

None of the above have helped me. Also, I can't decrease my refresh rate as it is 60hz by default and it doesn't support anything else.

EDIT: FIXED!
Simply turn on V-Sync.

Where's V-sync?

V sync worked for me (changed it in nvidia control panel), I just got a new pc and at gave it a try at 1000+fps and it was unplayable in a vehicle.

Thanks for the fix, this has bothered me for years.

Flip on Vsync in the game options should fix the issue.
Deploy, Scout the target, Plant the beacon, Watch the fireworks...
