Tides of War is an era mod that's designed to pull from the best aspects of all the battlefront games while creating a more immersive experience. This includes visual changes, like a tighter camera and custom scopes, as well as gamplay changes. Unit health has been lowered a bit and the AI are more effective with their weapons, the game is more difficult but certainly not impossible. The class system follows closely to the class system of the original battlefront, but the special class for each faction is replaced by a custom class, the player can change the weapons and appearance of the custom unit.
As of now it's on all the stock land maps on every gamemode that comes with the shipped game.

[spoiler]Star Wars Battlefront: Tides of War (Beta)

This is the beta for the Star Wars Battlefront: Tides of War era mod on the stock Endor map. Play as the customized sides of the Rebel Alliance or the Galactic Empire on the stock Endor map, features include class customization.

To install, simply put the TOW folder in your addon folder. You may need the Unofficial 1.3 patch to play. To play, simply select Galactic Civil War era, Conquest mode on the stock Endor map.

Class customization: There are options on the pausemenu to change the weapons and appearence of the 5th class on each side, you will have to respawn to see those changes, in order to see them on the unit select screen you might have to hover over another unit then come back to the custom for the player model and weapon model to have changed.

Features
-AI Difficulty increased for opposing team
-Heroes have unlimited ammo
-Different classes drop different items on death
-Explosions push living and dead units
-Sometimes units will be knocked down on a blaster induced death, like in DT2
-AI aim more accurate with single shot weapons, and smarter with how they use weapons
-Heroes can't capture CPs
-32 bots on each side
-Custom scopes
-Modifed Empire, Rebel, Ewok and Turret sides
-Recoil for weapons
-Units have less health
-AI Heroes in addition to player hero
-Vehicle Cockpits
-Enhanced imperial skins
-Troopers get a motionblur similar, but less than heroes
-3rd Person camera angle tighter

This was my first map. Unfortunately, due to still unresolved crashes I had to stop working on this in 2012. I managed to get a playable Alpha test out, this is that test.

A few years ago I had been working on a large scale era mod, and to take a little breAK FROM it I made this small mod. It's a side mod for the Republic (I know, ANOTHER one) It breaks online compatibility as it changes weapons and appearance as well. All clones of the class use the same msh, ie. The Felucia Sniper, ep3 sniper and ep2 sniper all use the same msh.

The changes are listed in the readme, not gonna write them all over again, they include

Flamethrower for engineer.
Rifle for Commander.
Multiple firing modes for certain weapons
No Award Weapons.
New ARC Trooper replaces Jet Trooper
New skins for some units and ARC-170
New models for some weapons
Chaingun instead of pistol for Heavy
Health & Ammo Packs for Pilot

There are more but those are the basics. Installation is easy, just put rep.lvl and repshell.lvl in your lvl_pc/sides folder.

I. The ARC Trooper mod is a sides mod that modifies the Republic side, it breaks online compatibility because it changes weapons as well as unit and vehicle appearence. It's ARC Trooper themed
(duh) I hope you will like it!

II. To install download the file and extract to your BF2/data/lvl_pc/sides folder. BACK UP YOUR ORIGINAL FILES FIRST. Move rep.lvl and repshell.lvl out of the ARC Trooper Sides Mod
folder.

This is the beta version of a sides mod I whipped up a few years ago, it will mess with online compatibility since it overrides mission scripts, but you do not need to back up your rep.lvl and repshell.lvl for this mod (but it's a good habit, trust me)

New weapons/skins for the Republic. Takes effect on Coruscant, Felucia, Kamino, Kashyyyk, Mygeeto, Naboo, Utapau & Yavin IV.

BARC Speeder and Republic Tank get new skins as well.

*Felucia and Kashyyyk feature the Phase 1 ARC skin for the sniper

The 1.0 Version of this mod is more comprehensive but I can't find it, if I do I will upload.
