Your information on 1.3 beta is incorrect. 1.3 beta works for anyone that has the CD version of the game. There is not a no-cd patch for 1.3 beta, so many people do not have the ability to play it--since most people have the DVD version of the game.
Oh, and it is only for the English version of the game.

No, what you want is 1.3 beta with a no-cd patch. That way it doesn't check for a CD. And then people with the DVD could use it, since it doesn't check for the cd. That is what a no-cd patch does.
