Would it be possible to add like a "like" button to comments? Sometimes I don't want to comment but I just want to like posts, and in a few other sites i have been on it has been included, just wondering.

Don't believe everything you read on the internet

I agree, there are times I want to respond to something, but I can't think of anything to say about it.

That one looks prettty good in my opinin

Good idea. As long as you can't 'downvote' as well.  :tu:

Something I wondered is if it could be made possible to tag members in posts so that they get a message/pop up saying that they've been mentioned. It could be useful if/when the site expqnds.
I play less now but I'll always be around, lets keep this site and battlefront going. :)

OK, so the way installing a mod for the forums works is:

-first I back up the website and databases
-then I try to install the mod
-then when it won't work for me, I ask Jedikiller for help.

I will start on the first step when I get a chance.

Unless the I just can't see the "Like" button anywhere, it does not look like this mod installed correctly.  I will ask Jedikiller about it at some point.

OK, I think I got it.  I think it will only work in the default theme though.  I had to enable it for certain boards.  If a clan wants it enable for their board, they can request it.

Is there any way that I get this removed but not by changing the default theme ? :(

I can probably put you in a group that cannot use or see the Like system.

It is a bit overwhelming.

Until I can make a new group, you can change to the Silent Wave theme, which is what out default is based off of.

edit:  I made the group, but since you belong to other groups the permission to see the Like button will still be there.  I can try to edit the color or something to make it less obvious, or I can use the duplicate this theme and remove the Like feature from the duplicate theme.

Dont worry then, i'll change to other themes. Maybe I find one I like lol
EDIT: Silent Wave theme has the like thing -
EDIT 2: All themes have the Like thing, but with silen wave it is blue (looks "better") so i'll just use that one

ok, I can make a duplicate silent wave theme without the like
It may take a couple of days...

I just changed the color to blue. Let me know if you have a different color suggestion.

Blue is okey until you have the theme duplicated

Why do I feel like some weirdo is going to go through eldritch threads and like obscure posts.

Suddenly I thought there was a facebook implementation.

Maybe Lime is a more catchy color, or something like chartreuse / lawngreen ?

Hmm. I would want to stray too far from the general colour palette of the forum, being the gray/blue thing. Although I suppose some people opt for other themes.
