Those would be in your merry Common folder, good chap.  If you have the Common.lvl Builder by Phobos, it has the ODF folder in there.

Kiwi, I enjoyed this post a lot.  Thank you  :tu:
I wouldn't freak out, considering they are actively working on it still and DC still works.

SWBF1 Modding / Christmas 2014 Modding Competition!
December 09, 2014, 10:56:49 AM
You read that right
Christmas 2014 Modding Competition
Perhaps you've been bashed on the head with a brick and you haven't noticed that it's time to get fabulously festive.

So, to continue our vague tradition of holding thematic modding competitions we would like you modders to make a mod about... Christmas or generic winter festivity (whatever floats your boat).

We'd like to keep it pretty open, so it could be a mod of any sort really... as long as it's festive.
The deadline shall be somewhere in January, as I don't really expect anyone to pull off a groovy mod before Christmas, as you're all probably busy (or will be) drowning in eggnog.

Entrants will probably receive some kind of shiny award with the winner getting an even shinier one.

In case you thought this looked familiar, above this line was the post last year.  And I thought it was good enough to quote from Unit 33 :)

Anyway, the winner will most likely be decided by a poll or something, and not me, because I've already started working on something.  Don't think of it as a stress... think of it as one way to celebrate the holidays!  So many assets are floating around here as well as creative modders who may be willing to help.  So, get on your sleigh and get going!  Please post to participate.

Direct Connection sent you to the destination IP, but there was a hitch:  Gamespy had it's mark on DC.  So the Direct Connection button quit working when Gamespy shut down.  There seems to not really be a way to use Direct Connection effectively with GameMaster.

SWBF1 Modding / Re: Ticket Bar Modding

Well, you could poke around in the common.  That's the only place that you might come remotely close to finding clues, other than the exe, which holds just about everything regarding the interface stuff (like the ticket bar).  I highly doubt the common will answer any questions for you though.

Ultimo, I ask that you please do not bump threads like this.

Thanks!

I play Jedi Knight with arrows and SWBF with WASD controls.

If I hadn't played Jedi Knight so much before SWBF, I don't think I could do arrow controls today.  Both hands on the keyboard and the only time I used mouse was to adjust camera quickly.

ZipZap and I are trying to work out times.  We will try hard to get it done this week but we may have to do it Sunday.

Make it a giant hill and then change the terrain to a more mountainous feeling terrain.

I believe it is "Height" and then "Paint" or a button next to that.  Then you can left click on your mouse to go up or right click to go down.  You can also change Pressure (how fast it changes), and length and width of the area you are changing

Indeed they did, Lady Lumiya if I remember her name correctly did wield a lightwhip. She was around during the EU, I believe she was around during 100-130 ABY (when Cade Skywalker was a Jedi/pirate).

She was in lots of comics and books, but if that didn't interest you, The Clone Wars also featured lightwhips if I remember correctly, so they aren't completely out of the canon.

Aha, that's it.  Lady Lumiya was Legacy of the Jedi series I think.  30ish years after A New Hope.

Tech Support / Re: Mod maps and files arent working
November 29, 2014, 09:22:53 PM
That looks like an extraction issue.  Note that the folder listed is a temporary folder.  My suggestion is this:
1.)  If you can, redownload the mod.  Hit "Save" instead of just "Open" (skip step 1 if you can find the file in a folder that isn't temporary with a crazy name, like C:\Users\xxx\Downloads)
2.)  If I recall, it is a 7z file.  Using 7zip, copy the mod outside, into the "Downloads" or "Desktop" or whatever, just not directly in Program Files.  Copying directly into Program Files from a program that isn't just Windows Explorer can cause weird issues exactly like this.
3.)  Make sure permissions are right in the folders you are copying to.  Is your account Admin?  Is the folder listed as Read-Only?

Try some of these and I will try to give more suggestions.

Side Note -- you may want to run Windows Disk Cleanup Program or CCleaner to clean out that folder in case something in the temp folder is causing weird issues.
