Hello!
So I'm currently looking for people who have the correct skills to take this on. It will take quite some time, I presume, seeing how big this idea is. So I'll start off with the backstory of how I got this, then to what it'll roughly be like:

I thought this would be a great idea since Star Wars is having a new movie coming out by Disney in months to come, along with EAs reboot of the Star Wars Battlefront franchise coming in just over a months time, and the Beta already passing by. This would be a great fit for Civilization fans. Whether they're Star Wars fans too, or not, this would let them fit in without paying a penny.

So this is what it'll be like:
If you look at the Elder Scrolls Vanilla mod for Civilization V by kingchris20 (or the Elder Scrolls BNW + G&K Version), this is roughly what I want this to be like. Except Star Wars version.

So the changes that'll be made?
As for the changes, it would be good to have the Civilizations as Species/Factions.

So, what I mean is there's the Tuscan Raiders, and the Jawas. Then there's the Clones and the Droids. Then there's the Ewoks. Then the Empire, then Rebels etc...
They could also be matched to different conditions around the map. For example; the Ewoks live in Endor which is a world of forests. The Clones were made on Kamino. That's a stormy location with cities above the water. This could be place somewhere along the coast line. The Tuscan Raiders were born in Tatooine which is a hot map of deserts, so they would spawn in a dry, sandy location of deserts etc...

Me being a Star Wars fan all my life, I could provide with most information, however if it comes to it, I'll be willing to research.

We are no longer JUST adding Civilizations, but that'll be the first step for the Programmers. The first step for the Designers is Units.

Hello guys,

I was just wondering what you all like about the new "Star Wars Battlefront 3" and what you dislike about it.

I first off, love the visuals. It looks like I'm playing Star Wars Battlefront truly. I like the animations in the game too. Some even had me laughing! Oh, and it is incredibly fun to play.
However, here comes my dislike list. Yea that's right. Look how short the first few sentences look. First thing I really don't like and what a lot of us saw coming, it wasn't going to be Star Wars Battlefront. I changed my mind about the whole link between Battlefield and Battlefront and yes, that's reasonable. But when on earth did EA say they were going to make a Call Of Duty game? I heard of a Star Wars Battlefront 3 but is all I see is load outs, spawn points that spawn you far far away from the action and awful balance to the teams. Oh, and don't get me wrong, this is only the Beta but there's no way they'll alter this in less than a month. The Empire always win on Walker Assault, The Rebels always win on Sullust, and by then, who'd want to play the Survival game mode?
I found myself running down enemy players and barely getting killed but is that the strategic rush I'm used to with SWBF1 and 2? No. Is the community friendly? It's EA making this, do you really think the community will be friendly. Does the platform Origin download properly? No. I had to leave my computer on downloading this for two whole days.

In conclusion to all of this, yes it's fun, but it feels like a Star Wars mod for Call Of Duty with a slight touch of EA with their overpriced game. Can anyone else say differently?

PS: I know that some people wasn't getting a download issue, but I had the worst by far.

So EA Star Wars have now announced a Star Wars Battlefront 3 BETA since all of their fans were bugging them for this.
I already know what the most chosen answer would be to this as there's no way you can miss out by participating.
However I do understand that some people may not agree to their agreements for some reason or may not like unfinished games.
I created a pole to see peoples opinions but now on the actual details.
So here's what EA have said:
"Coming early October to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and on Origin for PC, the Star Wars Battlefront Beta* is a technical test and will feature Walker Assault on Hoth, a 40-player multiplayer battle featuring Rebels and the Empire. Walker Assault will also give you the chance to play as two of the most iconic characters in the Star Wars™ universe: Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker. The Beta will also feature our Survival Mission on Tatooine, where you and a Rebel friend must fight back waves of Imperial forces."
Here's my opinion and assumption on this:
I think it's a good choice how they've chosen Hoth, as they've already shown us most of the gameplay and visuals of this map. This means the other maps will be more of a secret to get even more hyped for when the full release comes.
I also haven't heard them mention 40 players either. Since I heard there was only going to be 20, this makes me feel a bit better when I think about this game.
I especially like how they're giving us a few tasters of different game modes to try out to see how they each alter the gameplay. I'm curious to see what the Survival mode is like too.

Ok so this is sort of growing in popularity right now and Disney have announced a new Star Wars Theme Park for Disneyland and Disneyworld. This will include parts of the new Star Wars film coming later this year too!
Personally, I find this amazing and I don't care how old I am, I still want to go there!

So this came out 19 days ago and I find it fantastic. It's pretty much what happened between Kotor and Swtor.

This is a fan made film (obviously) but it's extremely well made too. I'm sure all of you Star Wars fans will love it! Just finished watching it and it's brilliant!

So I have been wondering this for quite a while as I've seen different people who prefer different factions in Star Wars Battlefront.

I personally prefer the Rebels because I ALWAYS used to play as them when I was younger, especially the Rebel Soldier. My favourite class has got to be the Rebel Soldier, just for the design of him. I also love the X-Wing! It's my favourite vehicle too!

What about you guys? If you want, you can post your favourite class too to make things more interesting. I'm really curious how this will turn out knowing that people like different factions for different reasons and there's not really a "best faction".

So I couldn't find a post alike to this so I decided to create one myself. I wanted to share my Desktop Wallpaper (I didn't make them obviously but they're by Lucas Arts, DICE etc...) and I have a massive folder with 50 Star Wars related Wallpaper.
It also includes some other Star Wars games such as Renegade Squadron. I thought I may as well share it in case someone is looking for Star Wars Battlefront related Wallpaper for their desktop and doesn't want to spend hours building up some sort of slideshow. I was wondering, is the website incompatible with Windows 10? I am able to manually insert them (by typing them in) but I can't go up and click on them anymore for some weird reason. I suspect it's something to do with Windows 10 because it worked on Windows 8.1 and Windows 7.
Is anyone else having this issue?

I have recently been trying to access starwarsbattlefront.filefront.com as this is the site where I get most of my mods from. However over the past week, it hasn't been loading up. This is quite annoying for me as I'm struggling to find the mods I'm looking for when normally I could just go straight to filefront. 
Is it working for anyone else? Let me know what it says when you try to load it up. For me it just takes ages to load and then says "This page can't be displayed".

I was thinking, is there a possible way of hosting a dedicated server from your computer and have it run 24/7 with mods for free?
I really want to host my own server but have it running all the time because it gets annoying when you have to set it up over and over again and waiting for people to join. I'd rather have it up and running 24/7 for free so lots of people can join as well if they wanted to.
I hope someone is able to help as it would be extremely useful!

Ok so I want to see how this works out. I personally hate the look of the new Star Wars Battlefront 3.
Now before you go hatin', it looks NOTHING like the Star Wars Battlefronts made by Lucas Arts, and I don't just mean by visuals.
Yes, the visuals are much more nicer but to me it just looks like another Battlefield game. It doesn't have Space battles either which is why Star Wars Battlefront 2 became the successor of the original Battlefront game. Not only that, I do believe it's going to be an 'Online Only' game. And to place the final turd, it's going to be pay to win. For a fact. Everyone hates pay to win games, especially if they're made by EA. The new Battlefront already costs too much and they're already bringing in exclusives to people who pre-order it.
I believe EA/DICE were exactly the wrong people to take on the making of the new Battlefront.

I have downloaded over 20 maps and I have 3 active mods.

I have an issue with some of my maps not showing up. This is NOT an 'addon folder in wrong place' problem as I am getting all my other maps but it seems that my Orbital Strike mods arn't showing up. There are a few other maps as well that don't work.



The mods that I have active are:
- Converstion Pack - Downloaded before I noticed the problem.
- Dark Time II: Rising Son - Downloaded before I noticed the problem.
- Ultimate Battlefront: The Clone Wars - Downloaded after I noticed the problem.

I have realised while typing this that MOST of them don't work which I couldn't quite notice with the three mods producing about 50 new maps. What makes me confused is the fact that some of them still work though. Would it be a compatibility issue or...?

I hope someone can help me, as I really want to see if I can get most of them going at the same time. Thanks!

I have just registered for this website because [Jedi]MonkeyBanana (GameRanger Username) informed me about this site and a new patch.

My name's Thor and I am 14 years old and I am currently studying Computer Science in school. I have recently quit my job as an at-home game tester (just something extra to do in my spare time) but I wasn't getting many jobs so I got bored and quit. In total I earned £235 so that was good. I am currently pursuing the job of a Game Programmer at the moment. Gaming is my addiction.
I have played Star Wars Battlefront for about 10 years now and I still love it. It's probably the only game I don't get bored of. I often play Star Wars Battlefront with mods, however I run into a lot of crashes due to what seem to be, mod compatibility issues. I have recently begun my quest on trying to find a bunch of players who play Star Wars Battlefront 2 still. It's a shame Gamespy shutdown 
My favourite games to play are Garry's Mod, Civilization and Grand Theft Auto (besides Star Wars Battlefront). I often play games on Steam, although sometimes I may use Windows or Uplay. I very rarely use Origin because EAs "deals" are bull
