Is there any way to get BF2_ModTools.exe/BF2_ModTools_NoDVD.exe (The mod tools debugger program) to work online? I tried hex editing it to use SWBFSpy servers, but when I try to view the server list I just get stuck at 'busy'. I've been crashing online so I'm pretty sure I broke something with a mod, and I'd like to figure out what exactly is causing the issue by using the debugger.

3D-Modeling, Animation and Texturing / Force Arena
January 25, 2017, 12:34:03 PM
Would there be any objections to me using some textures and possibly a few model parts (not whole models) from Star Wars: Force Arena? The game includes a lot of stuff from Rebels and Rogue One that would be quite useful.

Other Games / Free FPS/TPS games with bots?
December 14, 2016, 02:08:53 PM
Lately I've been searching for free (or at least really, really cheap) First/Third Person Shooters that can played offline against bots, preferably with a modern or sci-fi military theme and no extreme gore (blood is fine, I just don't want ultraviolence like people getting blown apart or anything with Zombies and stuff) nor any um... "adult" content, if you catch my drift. Anyone know any good ones that fit this description?

I'll add a local link tomorrow.

This is gonna be my last update for this mod for a while. I need a break. So yeah, this is another beta version, which means there's still bugs. I still haven't found a solution for the crashing issues with evolved, so use the stock sides. There's a lot that I wanted to include in this release that I had to cut for the sake of expediency and my sanity, and i'd like to apologize to Cdt Fox, i2Bros, CT-108 and SkinnyODST, as I couldn't add a lot of your skins in time. Don't worry, all of them and more will be in the next version, I promise. Despite this, it still adds a lot of new content, so I hope you enjoy it.

I've decided to start running SWBF2 servers regularly. This thread is for keeping track of them.

As GameTracker can't scan my IP adress for some reason,  I'll update this thread manually.

So, the 11th anniversary of Star Wars: Battlefront II (November 1) is coming up and since there's been a resurgence of players thanks to SWBFUpdates, I thought it would be cool to have an event for it. What do you guys think? Is Nov 1 fine? Should we do it a different day? Should we do it at all?

EDIT By Anyder: SWBFSpy is going to organise an event the 1st of November at 18:00 (6pm Berlin time). Obviously some people can't come at this time (Mostly american players) so I'll host an american server around 3-4pm EST. We'll try to gather in a public server to all the people we can to play together. If anyone wants further detail let me know (Anyder) by sending me a message :)
Hope everyone can make it!

This list is far from done. I have many ideas for multiplayer (that I actually came up with), and I hope to expand to future Battlefront games.

SWBF2 Modding / SWBF2 Skin Changer Mod (WIP)
August 14, 2016, 02:48:05 PM
I just realised I haven't made a WIP thread for this yet! I'm starting this off with a poll.

The Skin Changer mod is a project to use the unofficial v1.3 patch's fake console to allow players to customize the appearance of units (as well as heroes and vehicles in the future) in Star Wars: Battlefront II. I eventually plan to include many different options for all four major factions. A v0.5.5 public beta version is currently available to download (link below).

FAQ:
When is this coming out?
When it's done. I don't know an exact date. I can't predict the future.

Is it online-compatible?
Yes.

Can I use this with <insert mod name here>?
I originally thought it would be compatible with most mods, but I was wrong. After the release of the first beta I received dozens of crash reports. That said, it MAY still work with some mods, but all I can guarantee is that it'll work for the original, un-modded sides.

Can I add my own skins?
I hope to add that feature. No guarantees.

Will you release the assets?
When the mod is finished, i'll release the code for it. But not most of the skins, as they are made by others and can be found elsewhere. (Don't worry, they're all publicly released skins.)
UPDATE

Hey guys and gals. It's been a while since my last update, so here's a sneak preview at what's coming in the next release!

Other things that are coming but not shown here ('cause they aren't done yet):
-More hero skins
-Death Troopers (The ones from Rogue One, not the zombie kind)
-Super Battle Droid to B1 Battle Droid
-EA-Battlefront Style Desert Rebels
-Improved Rebel Honor Guards
-Sith Empire skins.
-Improved Old Republic skins.
-Possibly other stuff if I have the time.
Hopefully I can get this out by the end of the year.

Does someone have the models for the selectable heads in EA/DICE's Battlefront? Or at least the textures? Needed for skinning reference.

Tech Support / LSW blue screens on startup.
March 03, 2016, 06:36:23 PM
As you may know, I recently got a steam code for Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga from gdh92. Unfortunately, every time i've tried to boot it up, my PC blue screens, and the screen goes away too fast for me to read the message. Here are my specs:

 • OS: Windows XP SP3 (I know, I know)
 • Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3 GHZ
 • 2.99 GHZ, 3 GB of RAM
 • Graphics Card: ATI Radeon HD 5450
 • Hard Drive: 641 GB free out of 931 total.
