It says my key on steam is not eligible to join the Chicago server, is this because my key only permits me to join EU servers?

Ever since I got my new PC, my mods haven't been working. I reinstalled SWBF2 and have patch 1.3 installed, yet the mods I add don't work.

SWBF2 Modding / Where to start?
December 22, 2016, 06:39:56 AM
I want to try getting into modding, and I want to know where to start? Are there tutorials?

My thoughts on the DLC?

It's actually pretty good, very fun. And the maps are beautiful.

I wouldn't say it's on the level of Bespin though, it's much better than the Death Star DLC.

The Infiltration game mode is fun after you get past the space part.

I've just been having this issue, whenever I try to join a SWBFSpy server, it says that my CD key isn't authorised to play the game.

I'm not sure why it would be saying this.

I went onto the Battlefront Reddit and saw that this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/StarWarsBattlefront/comments/58ouru/new_swbf2_online_multiplayer_service/

Was at the top of the page. It mentions SWBFSpy and how to install it. It seems this might be getting more popular than we originally thought.

Ever since the release of Battlefield 1, the servers have been very empty. I think the PC Battlefront is breathing it's last air of breathe. After their next DLC is released, it'll be it for the game.

What do you guys think they could improve in the next game and what do you as a fan community want? Which era?

Apparently, Free Radical were planning years ahead of their Star Wars Battlefront saga. And most of the concept art (rumored) looks epic!

Star Wars HQ also made a video about it.

My answer is sadly... No!

I do not agree with the direction that they went for this DLC, so I refuse to buy the season pass to get this.

What are you thoughts? The DLC is up for a mid-september release according to some sources.

As it is stated in the subject, I can't seem to get the skin changer mod to function.

I have it installed into the addons folder, and done the stuff that it asked for me to do on the forum page. But, I just can't seem to be able to get it to work from the console.

Any help would be appreciated, and I'm not sure if I got this in the incorrect area for BF2 on the forums.

General / Star Wars TV Series in the talks
August 04, 2016, 11:38:54 AM
Lucasfilm has been discussing with ABC entertainment about allowing them rights to make a Star Wars TV series. Article: http://www.gamespot.com/articles/new-star-wars-tv-series-could-happen-at-abc/1100-6442360/

This could be a live action one, what would you guys thinks if this happened?

I'm very mad with EA, they have not allowed Frontwire Studios to produce their Battlefront: Galaxy In Turmoil. Lucasfilm contacted the president of Frontwire Stuidos and requested that they stop using the Star Wars IP even though Frontwire claim it falls under the fair use act.

When reading the post, Lucasfilm said that they had contacted EA and said if they could allow that to go through, and as EA are money hogging people, they declined claiming it would 'Harm their Battlefront franchise.'

I think this wouldn't, as the PEOPLE want a better Battlefront than EA's one. Lucasfilm said that they wanted to allow Frontwire studios to continue, but because of their contract with EA, they claim that is not possible.

The post is here: http://frontwirestudios.com/the-future-of-galaxy-in-turmoil/

Frontwire claim that they will make a Battlefront type of game, but it will not be related to star wars.

EA has once again, ruined something that they knew would be much better than their own game!

Well, LucasFilms just dropped a bomb.

From the Star Wars the Clone Wars animated series, the character in there known as 'Saw Gerrara' is now in a big screen film, Rogue One!

This could pave the way for many more of the animated heroes to appear in the later films.

I'll bet anything that when the Death Star map is released in the Death Star DLC in September, I bet that the SWBF and SWBF2 maps for the death star will be much bigger than EA's one.

I've given EA, this month £28.32 for both of their DLCs and a Bounty Hunter upgrade back.

Why do I do this to myself?

Would a SWBF2 remake/remaster using the same engine that EA's SWBF uses be possible?

I know that there is a company that is working on a Battlefront game that looks better than EA's.

I was just wondering, because I'd pay $60 for a SWBF2 remake. Not another one of EA's incomplete games that they just store away the rest of the game for DLCs.

Hey all, I'm here today to see if you guys can see what the issue that I'm having is.

I've recently discovered this issue.

What I've figured out is that whenever I go outside on Hoth, it turns all black. (Like the image attached below.)

And whenever I'm inside, it isn't.

I think this is an issue with my ENB or just the Hoth overhaul that I have.

Well, we know about the Death Star DLC coming this fall. But in my honest opinion, I think the Death Star should've been in the game from when it was released.

I'm not that caught up with the details, but I bet we'll be getting a new hero and a villain. I think we'll possibly get Grand Moff Tarkin for the Empire and Old Ben Kenobi for the Rebels?

This is indeed some amazing work, and I'm glad that the assets from SWBF-EA are being used in such an old and epic game!

Keep up the good work, once it is released, I'd love to take a look at it! :D
