SWBF2 is down

So yeah, it's down. We use gamemaster for the servers there also...

You shouldve warned the ppl in the servers, like add it to the message that moderators say and stuff like that.

Not sure about the Euro's (I'm assuming they will be using Game Master) but the the majority of the American community (what's left) set on using Eyes Only's master server, FreeGST. Which is a shame if the Americans do use it, it will split what's left of the community in pieces. Some will be on Game Master and some will be on FreeGST.

I had a server called www.SWBFGamers.com which is now ranked #5, and had those admin messages ingame.
Some players might know, some others might not...

Yeah, but what we want is people to play together, not to talk about 10 alternatives which will lead to a way more divided community...
That's why I'd recommend to focus all atention in one alternative which works alright, like GameMaster

Yea, GameMaster is the best option and a lot of the players I talked with before the shutdown, they seemed to know about the shutdown and I told them about GameMaster whenever they would close the servers that would be the best thing to use.

That's exactly what i'm trying to say, all these different 'solutions' are tearing this community (swbf2) apart. And it saddens me to see it that way. Pretty soon we may never see a full server for battlefront 2 again.

I wouldn't mind using GameMaster but I'm pretty sure the Americans are going to use FreeGST. I guess we'll just have to see which one gets more populated.

That's probably the way to go then. You guys should probably take that to gametoast, as there are more SWBF2 players there. (If you guys hadn't already noticed, this site is more focused with SWBF1)

GT knows.  GT is mainly a modding site though, and many of those guys do not play multiplayer.
From what I have read there, GameMaster is the only internet master server replacement that works at this time.

I tried out FreeGST today, there was a total of three servers (compared to GameMasters couple dozen), there was a few players on one of the servers, but GameMaster had the lions share of payers.

There was a meeting the other day in Entenclan ts to talk with all the clanleaders we could about what each clan was gonna do after the gamespy shutdown, and it was decided that we better moved to 1.1 so that we could be there as many people as possible.
HOWEVER, im gonna keep having the swbfgamers.com in 1.0 and as I have a new root server, I'll host it also in 1.1
Ill keep admin messages so that at least some people come to the website....
If there are any suggestions, just tell me.
