Some new stuff:

-Kashyyyk Docks - working on a modified version of this with the CIS having an MTT, and the Republic having four AT-RTs. In GCW, there's an AT-AT, and the Rebels also have four AT-RTs. I wanted to include flyers but the sounds for these broke all other custom sounds, so they couldn't be included.
-Rhen Var Harbor - The AT-AT has been replaced with the AT-ACT.
-Bespin Platforms - the TIE Bomber has been replaced with the TIE Striker.

A little surprise: I've switched the first two missions of the Campaign, so now the first map is Naboo: Theed and the second is Naboo: Plains. This isn't the only twist, though: as canonically the Trade Federation is supposed to lose the Battle of Theed, I've set it so that you're playing as the Naboo Guards in that first mission, complete with different weapons.

There's a balancing issue with it at the moment as it seems the Naboo Guards, even after my adjustments, lose too easily - and that's with the Droideka removed so that neither team has a Special class. So it'll take a little time to get the balance right. It's crucial o do so, especially since I plan on having them in a Theed: Hunt map.

Would the swbf 3 Boba mesh too high poly for swbf 1? The_legend has ported it. Would match with the other improved model, the stock model is a little bit out of place in my opinion.

All the SWBF3 models are too detailed. IIRC Boba is 10000+ polys.

Too bad, cuz those models would make the game look realistic, especially Jyn Erso, cuz she looks great.
If you are good at something, never do it for attention.

No doubt there. I'd love to have used the SWBF3 and TFU PC models as-is. Unfortunately, the memory pool/lowres issue persists for the moment, and the tool Sleepkiller released (model_edit) can alleviate the problem on models that are within or just over the recommended range for models but not really on high-poly models.

In other news, I'm starting to work the maps that will feature in Phase II's initial release into the game. So far, I've loaded in Geonosis: Dust Plains (though I'd love the source for that to alter both the minimap and some of the object collision) and Kamino: Cloning Facility. I'm working on a fresh Mustafar conversion as the Scum/Strike map, though perfectly playable, contains a strangely-placed sun/light object that distracts from the mod. I'll also be looking to implement the Jedi Temple, Felucia and Utapau. Mygeeto won't be in at launch as the only one I know of is the Scum/Strike map, and I really want vehicles on Mygeeto, but the Scum/Strike map doesn't have proper collision for those vehicles so I'll need to rework the collision on a new conversion.

I've worked in a Hero TDM map on Mos Eisley, and may have time to implement one on Naboo too, but that depends if the other maps are up and running. I also want to implement TDM/Hunt maps for Endor, Geonosis, Naboo: Plains and Tatooine: Dune Sea.

Scarif won't be included at 'launch' but that's more down to map balance than anything else. I'm also hoping for something that's currently being looked into with regards to a sixth unit - if it gets in, I'll be adding a new Enforcer class for the Empire and Republic, and Aerial class for the Rebels and CIS. If not, I'll likely be switching out the Dark Trooper on Scarif for a Death Trooper.

As for concrete plans post-launch: I'll be looking to do 'DLC packs' - or 'seasons' if you prefer - the first of which will be an implementation of space maps (I'm planning four - Coruscant, Kashyyyk, Yavin and Endor). So here is what I want to do for each:

-DLC pack 1: Space - Coruscant, Kashyyyk, Yavin, Endor - will include new Marine, Pilot and Specialist units
-DLC pack 2: Mygeeto, Scarif, Naboo: Outpost (Prototype)
-DLC pack 3: reworked stock maps: Theed, Hoth, Mos Eisley
-DLC pack 4: Star Wars: Battlefront III: Coruscant, Bespin, Dantooine, Tatooine (provided I can persuade the SWBFIII Legacy team to allow me to attempt a port) - will include X1 and X2 as Jedi/Sith.
-Possible DLC pack ideas: Sequel Trilogy - I really want to attempt this. At the moment, third eras are not stable, I believe, but I think we can make it work. Failing that, it might be an idea to create a 'duplicate' map list. Sereja's maps - primarily this is to make Sereja's current maps compatible with the Legacy gameplay but there will be an option to play them as originally intended as well.

Heads-up: expect the release of Phase II's 'base game' in the next few days  :cheer:. Just have to playtest and bug fix.

My overly optimistic hope was to have it up tonight... however it seems that there are a few unanticipated bugs I need to iron out, in particular with regards to the soundspaces and streams in the new maps. I know exactly what might be causing these bugs, so all I need to do is fix those and I have an inkling in order to do so I need to load completely new sound lvls for each new level.

There is also the fact that some maps won't be included with the 'base' edition - Mustafar, Mygeeto and Kashyyyk all need fresh conversions. Geonosis BF2 and Kamino BF2, while functioning, suffer an odd bug where they take on the names of the command posts from the BF1 maps, so that needs to be fixed too. So those five maps will be added in at a later date. Having said that, I will be including the following maps at launch:
Coruscant: Jedi Temple
Death Star: Interior
Felucia: Marshlands
Naboo: Outpost (aka Prototype)
Polis Massa: Medical Facility
Tantive IV: Interior
Utapau: Sinkhole
Given the modifications to the stock maps, and the inclusion of Naboo: Outpost and the Hero TDM map, are all done and it's just the SWBF2 ports holding it back, would anybody be for me releasing a '0.9' version of Phase II? 0.9 would include everything that's done. That way, I can focus on getting the SWBF2 ports finished and ready to go for 1.0.

If I did this, when it comes to releasing 1.0 of Phase II, I would create an 'upgrade addon' that only includes new stuff to take 0.9 to 1.0, as well as 1.0 in its entirety for those who want to wait until the base is completed.

Phase II version 0.9 can now be downloaded: http://www.swbfgamers.com/index.php?topic=12624.0

I'm hoping to have 1.0 ready in the next couple of months. 1.0 will add in the SWBF2 maps (which are excluded owing to localization and sound issues). However, 0.9 DOES have Naboo: Outpost and Tatooine Hero TDM. Those who download 0.9 won't have to download the whole mod anew.
