As the title suggests, my first mod aims to make all of the factions unique to the campaign into fully playable factions in Instant Action on the maps they appeared on. At the moment I'm using mostly vanilla sides for the Republic & CIS but I'm not opposed to actually crafting my own, when I have the skill.

Coruscant: Republic vs Temple Guards & Jedi (might not have their own Faction Name and Emblem in-game unless I can find a way around that while still keeping unique names for the scoreboard as I've already overwritten the Rebel Faction name and Emblem for the Naboo)

Features of the Demo:

  • The Rebels on Kamino have been replaced with the Republic. The Heroes are Captain Rex and Boba Fett.
  • The Rebels on Mustafar have been replaced with the CIS. The Heroes are Gizor Dellso and Darth Vader.
  • The Rebels on Naboo have been replaced with the Royal Naboo Security Forces. The Heroes are Queen Apailana and Darth Vader.

Known Issues of the Demo:

  • All SFX are vanilla, I would like to change this in future versions but I can't seem to get my custom SFX working.
  • Queen Apailana is supposed to use the General Grievous Music but since I can't get the Clone Wars Music to play on the map the standard GCW music plays instead.
  • Queen Apailana uses Leia's voice. I don't know what I'll change this to but it is on the list of things to be changed.
  • Imperials identify Apailana as Leia. This is possibly a side effect of me using Leia as the base for her, don't know how to change it.
  • Captain Rex's Pistol's are one pistol. This is just for testing purposes and will be fixed in the next update, hopefully with custom sounds.
  • Captain Rex has no voice. Once I get custom SFX working I'll move on to bringing in some Rex Quotes from TCW.
  • Imperials identify Rex as Leia. This is probably a side effect of me using Leia as a base for him, don't know how to change it.
  • The Anti-Trooper Engineer is the vanilla EP2 Engineer class. I'd like to change this but there currently isn't an EP2 Pilot that's done like the other Clones in the HD Clone Pack.

I've already got the vanilla Guard Assets, I was trying to see if anyone knew about any assets someone here or on gametoast possibly released. Anyway I was able to make two different uniform textures, a green one for the sniper and a purplish one for the Rocketeer. Just need that last class now.

I've figured out the crashing issue, now I just need a 6th class for the Naboo faction. Currently I have:

  • Rifleman (Red Uniform)
  • Rocketeer (Blue Uniform)
  • Sniper (Red Uniform)
  • Engineer (Yellow Uniform)
  • Officer (Blue Uniform)
I originally planned to have a generic Jedi (weaker than Hero Jedi) but that didn't work out. Does anyone have any Naboo Guard Assets? That could help in creating the 6th class.

I ran into a wall with my custom Naboo Security side. The game crashes whenever the test map loads. None of the tutorials I've looked at have been much help ( http://www.swbfgamers.com/index.php?topic=3040.0  / http://www.gametoast.com/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=12729 / )

My side uses reskins of the vanilla game classes, a reskinned Queen Hero (based on vanilla Leia), and a Jedi Special Class (replaces Wookie Warrior). I would like to know where I went wrong. I can upload the side if it helps.

Good news, I have fully playable CIS and Republic on Mustafar and Kamino. The only kink with the existing maps is I need to fill the Clone Commander slot for the Republic.

Still working on a custom side for the Naboo guard.

Requests / Campaign factions in Instant Action (BF2)

Hello I was wondering if it were possible for someone to either replace the existing eras or create a new era so that certain maps have the campaign factions fighting.

The maps/factions in question are:

1. Coruscant - Clones vs Jedi & Temple Guards
2. Kamino - Clones vs Stormtroopers
3. Mustafar (space and ground) - Droids vs Stormtroopers
4. Naboo - Naboo Guard vs Stormtroopers

I would also be willing to learn how to do this myself, if anyone is willing to show me to the correct tutorials (I am a complete noob when it comes to modding BF2).

Hello everyone, I'm new here. I signed up on the the 6th but I didn't make one of these so I figured why not.

Games like Fallout, Skyrim, EAW, SWBF (Classics) I play on PC but I play the new SWBF 2017 and Battlefield 1 on PS4.

I originally came to this site looking for SFX from the classic Battlefront games, mainly a LAAT engine loop as the other ones I have found either weren't super-great quality wise or they didn't sound like a LAAT *cough* EABF2 *cough*.

Anyway, I recently reinstalled the Classic BF2 and decided there may be some mod stuff I could find here. Tutorials, great mods not on Moddb or Nexus, etc. I look forward to conversing with some of you good folks in the future. Good day!
