Spammer assault

Hi SWBFgamers,

I have noticed some recent spammers that have joined our site. 
Here is an example of one:

please let me know if you find any and I will ban or delete their account.

When you say spammer do you mean guys that are on BF1 servers that go and start typin tttttttttt or somethin like that

I actually didn't know we were being assaulted by spammers. Even then, they haven't exactly spammed anything if nobody sees them due to their lack of posting. Only people who look up the newest members would really find them anyways. :P

EDIT: Here's several more, they don't seem to have any URLS in their sigs, just their profiles. I also take it back, there's lots of em!

Why is it that there all new members that only made roughly 25 posts

EDIT: where and how are you finding all of these, of course it is Goldman, they have spaceships shooting letter T's at us

Simple, using the Members page, searching through registration date, going to the last page, and then doing process of elimination. Seeing as how spammers post URLs, I checked all profiles that had 0 posts, but had a URL link on them. Then simply copy/paste, and done!

I wouldn't go looking for anymore, as I've pretty well got everyone for now. Though you could check the profiles that don't have any info listed other than emails, and see there. If they have no URLs anywhere, then they're clean, I guess. (Xfire addresses don't count)

Nice work GM.  I am deleting accounts.

The danger is that they would use our email system to send out spam.

We have a pretty good spam filter, but some get through.

I reject about 20 applications a week.  You can just tell by some of the user names that things are not right.  JediKiller had us locked down pretty good, but there were also bans of entire countries--like Austrailia--that I lifted when I took over.  ;)
