special letters for swbf1?

I hope this is the right place to post this but here we go.

I am wondering if anyone has made a mod or is willing to make a mod or really more of a patch that
will let you type in odd letters from other languages than english in the name box and online talking
thingy like for example "Ø Å Æ" and so on I have the letters on my keyboard but it won't type when
I press them so is there any way to let it type other letters in the game text for swbf1. if it does not exest
could someone plaese make it. if its posable.

I know there are other people who would like something like this cause its hard to talk in a language
that the letters don't even show up in game.
and I know its not polite to talk in a forn language when others who don't know it are there but i would
like to use it when just me and a buddy are playing (some people have realy bad english and would like to talk in there
native language when ever posable)

so basically a mod that lets you type all the symbols and letters there are in ascii.
just maybe a little restrictive when it comes to names so you don't end up with " / or ?
that could be problumatic if your OS doesn't alow those charactors.

That requires editing the font, which may not be possible.
Someone with more knowledge than me on this matter would know for sure, but i would assume that is in core.lvl, which afaik cannot be properly modded like that.

I also suspect that even if you changed the font, it would only be for you and not everyone else, i.e. they would not see what you see unless they also have the mod.

I'm not sure but I think I asked Phobos or someone else about this long ago and they told me that u'd have to have the swbf1.exe source for it to be able to read the new characters. And even if u managed to get it, if u wanted everyone to see it they'd need the new exe....

but that's just to show you it has the fonts for a few other letters.

but how can one actualy use it in a name

That is not a font, but a specific character. Keep in mind the game is designed for several languages including russian, german, ... but these are not fonts.

I know that but the point is
I just want it to let me type those
letters and any other letters that
are already in the font

I'm sorry I'm realy bad at explaining things

so basically if i press the Ø key I want it to
type it in the game.
