So i intend to have a gameranger multiplayer game, with maps made by people of the community (and some stock maps) I dont know the time yet, and its not set in stone yet that i will do it, but i plan to.
the maps list ATM:
Ziost: Order 66 by multiple people
Geonois: arena
Rhen Var: bridge by Newguy99
GCW cantina
Any suggestions for the date?

I have looked at all the angles, and have not figured out how to do that with GR.

I use a separate hosting computer.

Don't believe everything you read on the internet

Drat. Ohh well, it wont get in the way too much

Can't you start the game, leave the game (without quitting; alt+tab), use the dedicated server tools, connect to GR with that, then go back into your game and connect? Sorry if this is wrong. I have honestly opened GR once.

No.  GR does not support dedicated server software.

Why do all my threads have to be so off topic? I know what im going to do, and i no longer want tech support. Thank you to all who tried to help. I do still plan on making this work.

I'd use some of the maps from the halloween modding contest If i were you.
also here are some links to some cool maps:
http://www.swbfgamers.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=187  (gcw cantina, my fav)
http://www.swbfgamers.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=379  (coruscant jeditemple, bf2 con)
http://www.swbfgamers.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=781  (sereja's halloween map, it rocks)

And people always love SWBF2 converted maps, so think about using those too.

your original topic included a question about how you could run a dedicated server and also play at the same time
