Yeah, like Thomas said, it's probably a hardware problem that needs replacement. I'm betting it's the graphics card, but what's weird is that it doesn't affect other things like videos that also use the GPU.

It should not be a graphics card problem, the iMacs have decent cards.
Try the patch at this link, it got it to run on my MacBook, and it's different from the official one on aspyr's website.

Ok, so I am fully aware that this is completely off-topic, but...
Mac, was the computer with the failed HD a MacBook? Because mine just died two weeks ago (luckily it was still under warranty).

Was the game able to run on this specific Mac before? Your graphics card may not be able to handle it. Also, when you installed, did you install the patch? I know i had the same problem a couple months back on my MacBook; it installed but would not open without the patch here:

And as far as telling the patch where to install, don't change anything, just leave it at the default location (which I think is Macintosh HD, but i'm not positive). It should find your Battlefront folder by itself.

Edit: Oops, this is the same patch that The Pi posted back on the first page of the thread. Oh well, try it anyway.

well, i guess the title says it all. I'll be leaving for a short while, due to a sharp increase of crap to do for school due to the beginning of a new semester, the addition of about four new courses, and a lack of time to devote to games.
Sorry i won't be around to help and get the new site started, but i wish the best of luck to jedikiller, hardcore, and whoever else.
