Changing Nickname for SWBF

I was asked by a couple people yesterday if it was possible to change your nickname on SWBF without making a new profile (or at least keeping your profile stats the same)

My question: will a nick changer work for Tunngle and GR? I have Scarecrows Dual Nickchanger, and it doesn't change my nick. What about Battlebelks Nickchanger?

Or is there any other way to do this?

Battlebelk's nick changer works for both GR and Tunngle. I tested it.

Edit: Hmm, it broke the file...
Maybe I hex edited it last time, cause it worked then
And then you can save the file as the same date it was! Battlefront will never tell the difference

If you don't want to download anything, just edit the profile in
GameData/SaveGames/(yourprofilename).profile
with notepad, select all of the (yourprofilename) line, and start typing a new name, it can be pretty long (last time I checked, there was a 20 digit limit)
But if you are a newby, "Don't Try This At Home..."

My name is "rccommandotac" so thats where I would edit.

Will that actually work without breaking the file? I think it would be safer to hex-edit the change to .profile rather than edit with notepad.

I have tested every method (including hexediting) to edit these file, but it was always broken.

So weird, I got it to work once... I really wish I could figure out how I did.
It's probably more work than just download NickChanger anyways.
Does anyone know how BattleBelk and those other people, make the Trainners and Lua editing EXEs?

Yeah, it gets even weirder with SWBF2, I REALLY wish I could remember what I did now...
Hex editing breaks it on SWBF1 and 2...
