another idea for a mod map...

I've thought of a new nice mod map...
This one might take a lot of time.
My ideas might be a bit confusing.
Hope you like it!

The map is based on Nall Hutta (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Nal_Hutta).
It's inhabited by hutts and pirates. Sides are Pirates/ Rebellion.
For the ground type I was thinking of khaki sand(dune sea)/ grass ( plains).
The map is a swamp with lots of water. The sky exists of toxic khaki clouds (that's a lot of khaki  :P).
Everything's dirty. There are many hills on the planet.

The pirates start in a village on one of those hills with houses like those in mos eisley. They've got a big hangar. within it are the pirates vehicles. I thought of the skiffs , from the dune sea level or maybe the hailfire droids. There's also a sail barge in the hangar ( maybe you can also add some geonosian starfighters ).

The rebels cp's are away from the village. They need to liberate it.
They've got some landspeeders , X-wings and Y-wings.

Around the battlefield are several turrets located to protect and attack
the hangar/ village.

As i mentioned before there's lot water, but it's very low water.
I thought of adding several sarlacc pitts in the water wich make it more difficult to cross the swamp.

The planet is inhabited by hutts so i thought of adding some elements of jabba's palace into the village.
A NPC like Jabba inside the village, or a living rancor (wich maybe is a bit stupid because it doesn't move)
A cantina would be cool too.

For the pirate class I would use
rodians, geonosians, gammoreans, trandoshans,IG-88's , hutts( if possible) or other alien species.
I believe someone already made a lot of aliens.

Yesterday I saw a program about life in caves (boring)
, but it gave me a new idea for a
(officially a geek now) map.
Not that i've forgotten about the Nal Hutta map
but this one might be better.

I thought of Hoth: caves.
It's rebels vs wampa's.
(wampa's were already used in the big hoth map, but they were NPC)
Wampa's are with  less,
but they've got extreme health.

The Wampa's haven't got any weapons in their hands.
They've only got the claw attack
(wich is a normal melee attack).
I thought of maybe giving them another throw bone attack
but that's just an idea.

The rebels've got the hoth/Rhen Var skins, and their usual weapons.

The map itself is a snowy hoth map.
Rebels start in front of a snowy mountain.
They've got only one cp.
In the mountain there are several entrances to ice caves.

The wampa's start deep in the ice caves.
The caves are like those in Rhen Var Harbor.
At the wampa cp's there are also bones , dead bodies, ... on the ground.

It's a big maze of ice caves with some cp's.
There are only repair droids at the rebel cp
(I mean: WAMPA'S WITH DROIDS ?!?)

I think this could really be one of the best maps I've ever seen.
I hope some good soul wants to help me with making one of the two maps
or one of the other ones (http://www.swbfgamers.com/index.php?topic=3679.0)

I like this idea. Dark gloomy maps, alien pirate mercenaries fighting hutts? Hutts have not yet been ported, would be cool though.

I have not worked with cloud meshes, this sounds like a combination of islands and dune sea influences. I will help you gather assets if you need anything just ask, I have every alien publicly released for swbf1 and most of those meshes you need. As for map designing itself, I would help if I had the time, but right now I'm working on too many other maps. We can give you native rancors and static ones, I hope someone out there is still trying to port a playable full sized rancor to swbf1.

Rodians are nice, trandos, ig-88s, all these pirate/mercenary too

Next step I advise you to do is to draw a map draft for how you want the map to look. That is really an essential stage unless you are totally fine with letting the mapper create design off top of head.

You should check out this thread to get an idea of how map drafts look

Thank you, but I want to give the mapper a lot of free imagination space,
and I don't know the possibilities of Zeroeditor,
so I'm not going to tell him what the map has to be like.

I thought about replacing the geonosians with the gran, or the aqualish aliens
you made. They do fit better in the pirate theme.

For now I'm just waiting for someone wanting to make
the Nall Hutta or Hoth map (or endor,Bothawui map = http://www.swbfgamers.com/index.php?topic=3679.0).
