Hello everybody

I don't think anybody will remember me, but a few years ago I was a member here.
Anyway, today I remembered this site and I checked it out again and I'm really happy to find out that the community is still active!  :tu:

I only fear I don't have SWBF1 installed anymore.
I got the game for  mac and now I'm on pc   :(

I was just remembering those good old jedi knight games,
and then I suddenly asked myself: why hasn't anybody made a kyle katarn model to use for a mod in swbfI ???

So could someone maybe convert the model from outcast or academy to swbfI
(I think it is possible, because the trandoshan has also already been converted to the game)
Not that I can use it myself but I think some other people  would be happy to use it.

I am currently active on a few other forum's and most of them have the option to insert youtube/xfire video's in a post.
That's a lot more practical than always sending links, so maybe we could also do this  :) .

Released Maps and Mods / Rebels: Return to hoth

I proudly present my first map idea which has come to life.
It has been made by Marcus, and has been completed by Sereja

The map takes place between episode IV and V.
The Rebels have lost their base on Yavin IV and have to find other safe places in
the galaxy to train their soldiers. One of those bases is located on Hoth.

A transportship filled with rookies is on its way to Echo base when suddenly it crashes into a mountain
range. There are only a few survivors. A pack of hungry wampa's is near the survivors and is,
attracted by the smell of fresh rebel meat, going to track down all the survivors.

known issues:
The wampa's always stare to the left, but that doesn't really affects the gameplay.

hints and tips:
- the rebels only have a limited amount of ammo, use it wisefully
- commander Skywalker was also aboard the crashed transport ship,though still only
  weak in the force, he can be very useful.

Requests / need someone to make my side

Hello everybody

I need someone to make a side for a map project that I was thinking of.
Well, actually it's a quite old idea but I think the time has finally come to realise it.

I don't need an experienced modder. All the models/weapons are just inside the mod tools.
It would be a good start for someone starting with modding.
I think for an experienced modder it would only take less than 15 minutes.
So is there a good soul that could help me?

Requests / New Endor map

A lot of people (me included) are having the same problem: terrible lag in the stock Endor:bunker map which makes the map almost unplayable ( that's at least my case)
So I was thinking that we maybe could make the same map but maybe with a bit changes to decline lag.

I don't know what's causing it but maybe we could make a map
that is a bit smaller, with maybe fewer trees and other enviromental objects.
We could maybe also change the Wookiee smuggler unit with the ewok, because
we never have really played the game from the "midget bear" perspective and
to make it more canon since there never were wookiees (except chewie) at the battle of Endor.

Hello everybody,
Could someone make a space map,
Because they are a lot of fun and many people have been asking for it.
I know making a space map on SWBF I is difficult, but I think the map I have in mind has to be possible:
You don't have to destroy the capital ships parts or land in the hangar but you just have to destroy the other team's starfighters in a huge dogfight.

Geonosis: Space battle

Story: As the CIS sees no more chance to win the battle on Geonosis against the new clone army
they are trying to evacuate. The Republic fleet will not let them escape.

Layout: Like every space map just a venator for the republic, and a providence ship for the droids.
The background is space and the planet of Geonosis. Techno union ships are serving as destroyable frigates.
Maybe adding some asteroids.

sides: republic: Clone marine (regular SWBF I clone trooper: clone blaster rifle, clone rocket launcher, thermal detonator)
clone pilot (regular SWBF I clone pilot: blaster pistol, time bomb, fusion cutter, can repair vehicles)
cis:
droid marine (regular battle droid: droid blaster rifle, droid rocket launcher, thermal detonator)
geonosian pilot (geonosian sonic gun, time bomb, fusion cutter, can repair vehicles)

vehicles: Only starfighters, no bombers or transports
cis: starfighter: swbfI vulture droid
      interceptor: geonosian starfighter
rep:starfighter: arc-170 starfighter
      interceptor: swbfI jedi starfighter

That's it. Is there somebody out there willing to make this or another space map now, or somewhere in the near future? If someone does, could he/she plz contact me plz?

Requests / [SOLVED] Rebel transport

Hello everybody,
Does somebody know where in the mod tools I can find this:

I thought it was cut content in the Hoth map but I can't find it.
I'm almost sure it has to be included in the mod tools, it was used in several maps.
(bounty hunters: rebel outpost for example)

The ship was also used in swbf II I think as a frigate in space battles.

Requests / Imperial star destroyer: interior

Hello everyone

Could someone make a mod map inside
an imperial star destroyer/ space station ?
It has to be a bit like sleepkiller's awesome venator map but
than mac compatible and in GCW.

So it would be a combination of the death star: interior map,  the star destroyer hangar,...

I was thinking about multiple hangars being connected and a lot of small corridors  :P.

Rebels start in hangar and they have to try to get further into the ship in search of the plans for mon cal. cruisers in
I don't know what ( labratory, storage room)

Requests / bounty hunter/pirate side

I thought by myself: why did no one ever make a bounty hunter side.
And I came with an idea of a side which looks pretty awesome to me.
It's like this:

- Soldier: Trandoshan mercenary (blaster rifle, blaster pistol, thermal detonator, Kamikaze Ewok)

- Heavy: Gammorean Guard (Axe, missile launcher, time bomb, mines)

-pilot: Jawa engineer (DN bolt caster/ grenade launcher, blaster pistol, fusion cutter, Health/ammo dispenser)

-Sniper: IG-88 battle droid (Sniper rifle, blaster pistol, thermal detonator, personal shield)

-special: Mandalorian assasin (EMP launcher, blaster rifle, jetpack, thermal detonator)

I thought the assets for the Trandoshan and the Mandalorian assasin were already released.
The Kamikaze Ewok is new and he replaces the recon droid. The kamikaze ewok is a unit with low health, meant for scouting. It is equiped with basic ewok weapons (which is stones and rocks I think) and orbital strike.

srry if my English isn't good, I'm Belgian  :P

I accidently deleted all my favourite mod maps in my Addon folder
so I had to download them all again.
But when I tried the link for the polis massa map gamefront said: "file not found".
Could someone put it back online plz.

Requests / wampa side

Could someone make me a wampa side.
It's only one unit (wampa) with only one attack ( melee attack).
It's the first step for one of my map projects (http://www.swbfgamers.com/index.php?topic=3804.0).

The wampa's were already used as locals in this map (http://www.swbfgamers.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=272) . Maybe someone can just take the local side from that map
and make it a new , playable side.

If that isn't the case, you can always make a new one. I think Phobos developer released the assets.
The wampa  has the same animations as the Gammorean guard. His melee attack too is the same one
as the one of the Gammorean.He's got massive health.

Requests / remaining Swbf 2 maps

I saw the tantive vi map and the dagobah map
weren't converted to swbf 1.
I thought some parts of the tantive vi map were already used
in the behind enemy lines map but that's it.

It's just an idea but maybe some of the experienced modders can work together
to convert the tantive vi map.
I think many swbf players would appreciate that.

if it takes long ,... .
I can't munge sides on my mac but maybe (if it isn't too difficult)
I can try it on the computers of the local library.

I warn you I really am a n00b in computers  :wacko:.

Requests / GCW space map

I know there are already a few space/hangar maps
but in each of those converted space maps there always are tiny problems:
sounds missing, vehicles piloted by bots crashing ...

I saw someone made a very nice space map he the cannons were even working
(http://www.xfire.com/video/266fc4/).

Could someone make such a nice space map for GCW too plz or
could someone fix the problems in already existing maps like the renegade squadron map.

SWBF1 Modding / any modding possibilities for mac?!?

I know zeroeditor doesn't run on mac,
but isn't there any possibility for a mac user to modify at least something?
Is there a way to create your own skins on a mac?

And this question might sound stupid but: Is it possible/ hard /impossible to make zeroeditor mac compatible?

Requests / another idea for a mod map...

I've thought of a new nice mod map...
This one might take a lot of time.
My ideas might be a bit confusing.
Hope you like it!


The map is based on Nall Hutta (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Nal_Hutta).
It's inhabited by hutts and pirates. Sides are Pirates/ Rebellion.
For the ground type I was thinking of khaki sand(dune sea)/ grass ( plains).
The map is a swamp with lots of water. The sky exists of toxic khaki clouds (that's a lot of khaki  :P).
Everything's dirty. There are many hills on the planet.

The pirates start in a village on one of those hills with houses like those in mos eisley. They've got a big hangar. within it are the pirates vehicles. I thought of the skiffs , from the dune sea level or maybe the hailfire droids. There's also a sail barge in the hangar ( maybe you can also add some geonosian starfighters ).

The rebels cp's are away from the village. They need to liberate it.
They've got some landspeeders , X-wings and Y-wings.

Around the battlefield are several turrets located to protect and attack
the hangar/ village.

As i mentioned before there's lot water, but it's very low water.
I thought of adding several sarlacc pitts in the water wich make it more difficult to cross the swamp.

The planet is inhabited by hutts so i thought of adding some elements of jabba's palace into the village.
A NPC like Jabba inside the village, or a living rancor (wich maybe is a bit stupid because it doesn't move)
A cantina would be cool too.

For the pirate class I would use
rodians, geonosians, gammoreans, trandoshans,IG-88's , hutts( if possible) or other alien species.
I believe someone already made a lot of aliens.

I actually just wanted to ask whether it is difficult to make a custom map
or to convert a map from swbf 2.

I can't create maps myself (mac) but if someone would 
take some time (if it isn't too hard) for one of the custom maps i was thinking of
that would be great.
