Star Wars Battlefront (2004 Original) / My fps seems to be capped?

Okay, I haven't played battlefront 1 in a long time. Now, my game seems lower fps then I recall. I used my xfire fps checker and it said 30 fps. Is there an fps cap for this game? How can I check my fps using battlefront itself and also how to take out fps cap if there is one, sorry for all of this
