Title: modding PC broke
Post by: Linux user Awesome on July 11, 2017, 01:07:49 AM
I am not sure if this is the place to post this but here we go.

My only PC that could handle zeroEdit has finally died.  :'(
It was the most powerful PC I ever owned.
And now I may never finish a mod I was working on
nor the haunted house mod I was going to make.
But I can always ask my friend to let me use his PC
If ever I get time to anyway.  :P

It's specs were:

Ram 8,0 GB
CPU: 5 core 3,0 GHZ
HDD: 1 TB (had to wipe it to get it to work  :()

Now I am stuck with this:

RAM: 3,0 GB
CPU: single core 2,20 GHZ
HDD: 150 GB(I put my 1 TB in it aswell)

at least I have my 1360 X 768 68 cm(27 in) TV as
my monitor.  :D

The PC I am using now can handle wings 3d and xsi
so I can still make weapon .msh files and can probbaly
test them out on a friends PC.

please note: I am not a "Scummy" for posting here.

You might be able to transfer the CPU over? If it isn't the CPU that died.

No they are completly incompatable with each other.
but the CPU is probally perfectly good and I am saving it
along with the RAM. I think it is the motherboard that is bad.

here is what hapens when i turn it on.

1. I plug in power cord

2. It just turns of and on 2 times or so in 1 second then a few seconds later it does it again∞  :help:

That is all it will do it can not even make it to the BIOS screen(hp logo at startup)!

I would swap out the power supply first.  You never know  ;)

I would try that but the power supply for it is different than most and is  :censored: exspensive.
but I think both the power supply and the mother board are junk anyway.

Then you must go to ebay and buy a cheap old computer.  The modding must continue  :whip:

;)

I think I will just watch for a good PC at garage sales.
Modding SWBF1 is not my highest priority right now... :o  :panic: :help: :nervous: :fist: how did that happen!?!?!?!

And by the way this is my 100th post!   :cheer:  now I get a fancy blue name!

You should've put your hard disk into an adapter to save some data rather than directly wipe it out, well it's done anyway.  :(
Congrats on yer 100th post also !
