Hey everyone, I have never really downloaded a game from a website before. I've always bought disks. But I am wondering what websites are out there to purchase and download games? Has anyone ever had any problems downloading games from websites?

I'm looking at some games for nostalgic reasons, that I don't have anymore. Games like Age of Empires 2, Command and Conquer Generals, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, etc.

Thanks in advance for any help!

I think Steam is the way to go.  They often have very good sales.

You can download your games to any computer and play them, you never have to keep track of disks or game codes.

Age of Empires II on steam now for $20, but wait for a sale--I got it for $5.
Kotor I and II $10 each (again, wait for a star wars sale)
command and conquer, all i could find was red alert

Also, try looking into Humble Bundle, which are a bundle of set-your-own price games that usually activate over steam.

for $12 you get ten games.  Maybe only play one though  ;)

Don't believe everything you read on the internet

Steam is probably the best experience I've had of digital distribution, even if it's the obvious example.

Good Old Games is also a pretty regular site for old games. I myself have not used it, but I know of several users on here who tend to rely on it whenever they have sales:

I completely agree with what LED said.  Steam is great for getting games, and most of them are really cheap, especially when on special. Humle Bundle is also good.
