Ive compiled some links for you guys to look through. I describe each one below

http://developer.valvesoftware.com/

The main page of the valve developer site. One of the most organized and informative sites you can wish for when it comes to developing.

The next step towards modding. This gives you a overview of what goes into the devlopment of Source. I have already read the entire Programming and Level design section. I suggest you look over the level design section to be safe. In this section you will learn how to give lighting to your map, add effects like triggering a switch to cause an event to happen, and even adding particle effects to your map.

This is the steam forums, here you will be able to ask as many questions as you want and everyone is glad to help. This is the main hub of Source modding and you can pick up tips and report issues here. These forums are looked at by valve regularly and you can be assured your question will be heard all the way to the top.

this is a design theory coming straight from Valve. We based alot of our current mod (me and epi) on this design theory and i figure it would help out alot with some of our swbf SP modders too :)

Hope this helps. Im already done with a map because of this wiki (granted its a small one).
