Yeah, it's pretty much confirmed that the Clone Wars are fully in the game. As noted above, there's also concept art of Clone Troopers on Kamino, and the cover art show Darth Maul and Clone Wars ships.

with Clone Troopers wearing Jet Packs
It probably isnt relevant, but wasn't kamino the map where jet troopers were introduced in the clone wars "campaign" in swbf 1?

Microtransactions are good for business, but im hoping it doesn't imbalance gameplay. If it leans more TF2 than Halo 5 i'm all for it.

What is this stuff about classes returning?

It is, so, nice potential nod to the old games. The jetpacks also look identical to the ones from SWBF1.

Agreed.

The devs said they are indeed switching back to a class system (Which makes sense for the Prequel and Sequel eras). These classes will be customizable (like TF2, CoD and Battlefield), as will heroes and starships. According to the website the classes are "Assault", "Heavy", "Officer" and "Specialist".

I don't think they'll make the same mistakes twice.

This game got my pre-order.
The years just fly past, don't they?

Looks like the Battlefront (2015) was a kind of beta for this game. I'm glad the class system is back. All the eras are supported it have my attention. I won't pre-order thought. I'm a bit confused about the personnalisation will we be able to choose every troopers for the same battle ? Like clone with 1st order trooper ?

IIRC no. Heroes will be able to cross era i believe, but there aren't going to be any first order vs battledroid sort of things.

I think the 'cross era' feature was specifically for Hero vs Villains-like game-modes.
RodanConfirmed over on Reddit put in the time to mock-up some options. I think customisation will be limited to gender / features / and limited clothing changes.

^The Republic Officer looks a bit too much like a Moff for my liking. Would have preferred if they went with a red stripings to stick with the traditional clone theme of the armor color denoting rank (even though it wasn't the case in the original battlefronts.)
"Birth, pain, fear, death; the cycle of existence." -Dread Master Calphayus.

SWBF1 Maps: Tatooine: Mos Anek, Kashyyyk: Village, Naboo: Province, Tatooine: Gulch.

SWBF2 Maps: Space Carida.

It's based on the canon Republic uniforms:

Also note that they're not clones.

Clone Commanders will probably also be an option in some compacity, and possibly an armored officer uniform like General Veers.

Looks interesting, definatly a big step forward. Not getting a pre-order but probaly will ge the game when it comes out and of course after watching some reviews.

Im glad they are going back to a class based system. One thing that kind of bothered me during the battlefront 2 panel is how un-humble DICE was. Absolutly no mention of how the older games inspired thier work, even though there are locations coming back that were fan favorites in the originals. All this talk about how an empire point of view story has never ever ever been done in a battlefront game, though Pandemic battlefront 2 had just that. Or how no one has ever been able ride a tuan taun ever. Lol, I dont even think the three people there had any idea they were talking to one of the people who did marketing for the orginial pandemic game.(The kind of big boned guy who was hosting, also the voice of proxy in the force unleashed games.)

I hope this game does good, microtransactions im not a big fan of but at least they got rid of that garbage season pass. I would be willing to spend money here and there for some skins if it means that it will go towards free maps.
Battfront Stuff if your interested.

Looks like an imperial uniforme for me. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Firmus_Piett

And in TCW, officer's clone uniforme seems a bit different. http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/c__/images/0/0d/CloneNavalOfficer.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20140322133042&path-prefix=clone Moreover we can see the same uniforme in the trailer at 0:9 in brown this time. Maybe they'll use the same model but with different skins for each era?

I think DICE feels entitled to SWBF. I remember them kinda saying something that in this context actually sounds much worse back before the release of EA1.
Something along the lines of "SWBF was clearly a derivative of our work, so we are excited that we can do it right this time."
