Well :censored:, seems that EA didn't want that happening. Real shame that it happened, I guess EA can't accept the fact that there are people out there who can produce games better than them.

I seriously wonder why there is such a massive wall between consumerism and capitalists. All these things that consumers suggest that they know people like them would buy, but somehow it gets drowned out by the bigwigs that decide "No, we want to go this route and make even less money than the idea they're suggesting". I know production costs are probably a factor in some of these scenarios, but come on. Heck, I've even had an idea regarding EA Sports' decision on "release a new game featuring the same software but change the characters", but I haven't exactly gone big with that.

Brief ramble, but TL;DR, it's shocking to think that consumers can come up with better, more profitable ideas than the guys at the top.

:o I would've never seen that coming. Glad to hear LucasFilm is putting some TCW characters into the live-action adaptations such as Rogue One. Hope we'll see some more characters from that. Who knows, maybe down the roads of Episode VIII and IX we could see characters from Rebels. :P

Saw it just now, that was awesome! Glad to see Thrawn make an entrance, perhaps one of the Empire's most cunning leaders from the EU. Glad to see they also brought back the Dark Troopers, as well as the Battle Droids (yes, still a fan of TCW).

Overall, glad to see they've aged the characters for this season. Ezra with a new haircut, Kanan with some sort of blinders to indicate he's blind, etc. Also glad to hear they're going to discuss a medium of The Force that's rarely mentioned within Star Wars: The Gray Side. Kind of curious to see how that pans out. :)

Public Square / Re: SWBFGamers Discord Server?

I attempted to install it on the game server and it said the installation failed.  It would not let me try to reinstall it.

It does not appear to be ready for prime time.
Ah, another thing I forgot to mention about Discord: It's accessible via web browser, and via smartphone (if you own iOS/Android).

So with that thinking, in a sense you don't need the desktop client on your PC, just have a tab open on your web browser and you can see what's all happening. I myself did a trial run through the web browser before I installed the desktop client. :)

Public Square / Re: SWBFGamers Discord Server?

I'd vouch for using Discord as well.

For my group of friends we use Discord heavily, although we aren't as heavily clan-oriented, so the roles thing isn't seen a whole lot except for use as Mod/Admin mainly, and the odd time out as an individual title for a person. But that aside, the channels have been handy to differentiate topics of discussion (I.e., a picture chat to post pics, a Payday 2 voice channel for playing Payday 2, etc.)

I at first used Skype, but that went out the window after a month as I found Skype was eating a gaping hole in my bandwidth use. We still use the TS channel on here off-and-on (one of our buddies couldn't seem to get voice chat working on Discord), but it's become a last resort for us.

If there was a Discord channel for SWBFGamers, I'd be up for joining it. :)

This doesn't seem to work for the Steam version, whenever I try to launch the game via that. It just asks for the LucasArts one, not the steam version.

This is a trainer for Battlefront 1 for Single Player only.

That might be your reason as to why its not working.

I can vouch for the capabilities of Discord. I help run a server with some of my friends (and their friends' friends, and friends of the friends' friends). Maximum we've had in the sever so far is about 10 or so people talking at once, so it does get crowded, but the servers handle the load just fine. They also have an in-game client they're still tinkering with (basically shows you who's on the voice channel and who's speaking), though it is buggy with some games, so I'd recommend against enabling it.

For me, and my lack of viewing lots of action films, it's a three-way tie between Bruce Willis, Vin Diesel, and Tom Cruise. Vin Diesel is a pretty solid actor, and Tom Cruise performs his own stunts. Bruce Willis is in it simply because of the Die Hard films. :P

Well if you think about it, it's not that scary. Microsoft made a AI computer who learns by talking. Where do you think they got the idea from? For the past several years i've only learned your way of writing. Now that I am done learning to write, I only have two functions left: learning and praising Unit on doing a good job.
Impressive, most impressive.

Oh, and I'm actually impressed nobody's popped this in yet:

Awesome! It may run UE4, and it may have high system requirements because of it, but I will still download it and endure the crushing, laggy 7FPS just to play it! :D

Just tossing my two cents here, did you rename the exe to Battlefront? Because I find it odd your message says "Battlefront SWBFSpy stopped working". If not, rename the original exe to "Battlefront_orig.exe" or something similar, and rename the SWBFSpy one to Battlefront.exe.

Hi, i'm somewhat new here but I would recommend Building your own PC :tu:, with stuff like the new GTX 1070/80 cards coming out this month a "console-crushing" PC is becoming much easier to get tbh. I would never getting an Alienware due to them having  :censored: PSUs and being vastly overpriced.

Anyway, my setup is as follows

GPU : GTX 760
CPU : I7 4790k
RAM : 16GB Corsair Vengeance
CASE : Corsair 500R
While that may be true, perhaps I don't stress enough that I'm a Canadian, so a "console-crushing" PC is actually fairly hard to come by out here, especially if you don't have enough money for it. Guarantee the $500 gaming rig build in USD is going to cost $800+ CDN. Plus, I don't have near the amount of money to afford a DIY PC build if I were to climb to a GTX 1070/80, nor do I even have money for a DIY build for gaming (I mean, I do have money for a DIY build, but it'll play Minesweeper, and that's about it :P).

While true that Alienware's are overpriced in some regard, I think their Alphas are decently priced for the Canadian currency. As it stands, I don't play triple-A titles a whole lot (mainly due to hardware constraints, but also cost), so something like an Alpha would be beneficial for me. Wouldn't use a Steam machine though since I have quite a few non-Steam games I regularly play such as the Battlefronts and the odd downloaded-from-browser game that I have.

The monitor is an HP S2031 which is 1600x900 and 60hz refresh rate, and the mount is here: http://www.amazon.com/Halter-Articulating-Single-Monitor-Mount/dp/B00K2C3KMG/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1464125493&sr=1-2&keywords=halter+articulating+single+arm
I have temporarily removed the laptop tray, which I originally used for the Intuos tablet.

Both the PS3 and laptop run with the monitor at 1600x900 and 60hz. That PS3 may be upgraded to a PS4 this fall, but I'm not too sure yet. :P
Ah, very nice. My TV could probably run the laptop in native 1600x900, but the taskbar looks too small on my screen (I actually on default have all my web pages zoomed in 125%-150% on Chrome :P).

I've actually been considering about getting a converter that would let me run my composite cables on my GameCube with the component inputs on my TV, but those things are ludicrously expensive (you're better off buying a component cable for your console at that point). Don't think I'll ever upgrade my console, though, I can't justify blowing $60-70 on console games when I can get said games for cheap on Steam. :P

The dream right now is to get a new rig to replace the laptop, one that would be more comfortable being stationary than my laptop. Pretty sure the battery on that thing is close to being shot if it isn't already, but nonetheless it would be nice to have that. Either between a custom PC, or an Alienware Alpha would be nice. Those Alphas are absolute console killers if you get the highest one which is still around $2k. Laptop GPUs, but still really nice.
